My acrylic paintings reflect my interest in nature that is
the core of my haiku poetry writing. Ducks, shells and the forms of driftwood
are all used in my artworks. Whether I am writing or painting or embroidering,
I feel intensely that I am creating a small, but joyful world into which I invite
my viewers and readers. My creativity celebrates the small, the everyday, the
familiar - seeing the extraordinary in the ordinary.
My paintings are all done in acrylic - its speed and the ability to cover layers
appeals to me. My cards are often done in acrylic, but the black drawings are done
with a brush pen that doesn't give shades, but does give an intense black.
